Apple has just announced its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That is three upgrades to familiar models and also the all-new iPhone Air, that is replacing the Plus. If waiting in line on release day is not your style, but you still wish to get your hands on one as soon as possible, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, before the September 19th release date.
The iPhone 17 features a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and narrower edges. And after years of waiting (and a lot of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Inside, Apple’s new A19 chip is more powerful and more energy-efficient, particularly when combined with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll see a huge jump in speed and better gaming performance courtesy of ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) as well as a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also features an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography sharper and more refined.
